Text message (SMS) program & opt-in policy

Program name: MD Live Advice appointment notifications and account security codes.

How you opt in

You provide your mobile phone number yourself, on this website: when you create your account at the end of the booking flow, while completing your medical intake for a video visit, or later in your account profile. Consent is given only by actively checking an unchecked-by-default checkbox next to the number. A mobile number is required to use our service (we need a way to reach you about your visit), but ticking the text-message box is optional and it is unchecked by default. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase — without it we contact you by email and phone call only.

To see the opt-in for yourself: open www.mdliveadvice.com/book, tick “None of the above” on the safety screen and press Continue. The account form on the next page carries exactly the field and checkbox reproduced below. No sign-in and no email are needed to reach it.

A read-only copy of the live consent step, shown here so the exact wording can be checked without creating an account. On the real form the box is unchecked by default, just as it is here.

You can withdraw consent at any time by unchecking the box in your account profile or by replying STOP to any message.
